Yes, I Am Still Alive!!

Shocker, I know. I have really wanted to blog lately but it always seems to fall to the bottom of the list. Things in our neck of the woods has been good lately, just busy. We spent Thanksgiving with Eric's family. All 4 of the brothers were able to be there so it was a big family event. We were able to attempt a big family picture which, considering there were 9 children (ages 6, 6, 5, 4, 4, 2, 1, and 2 under the age of 1) and 9 adults, it turned out pretty good. The girls got up early for a little Black Friday shopping and lunch and then the boys took in dinner and a movie that night. We had a great time! On the way back we detoured to go see Eric's grandma and grandpa which was good. We hadn't seen either of them in a really long time. We realized on the way home that we probably should have taken some pictures.

The real thing that prompted me to blog (besides Melanie wondering where I was) is a really funny story about Ethan. It was one of those things that Eric said I needed to blog about because it was so funny. I am sure it won't be as funny since everyone of you wasn't there but here is the story anyway.
Ethan tends to take after his dad in the fact that he has very vivid dreams. He talks in his sleep and occasionally gets up and does silly things with no recollection of them in the morning. I have to say what happened the other night is the best story of them all. Eric and I were just getting ready to go to bed when we heard a really loud thump followed by crying. I thought for sure that Emily had fallen out of bed. As I got closer I realized it was Ethan crying and it was coming from the bathroom. I stepped into the bathroom to find him standing on the stool at the sink with his pants pulled down. Yes folks, he peed in the sink thinking it was the toilet. He was still pretty asleep but I found out that he was crying because he had fallen asleep standing there and bonked his head on the counter. I felt bad about the bonking, but couldn't stop giggling despite that fact that I was cleaning up pee. When I asked him about it in the morning he had no clue that it had even happened. He just cracks me up!!
Well, this wasn't much of a post but here's to hoping that the next post will be sooner rather than later.

Hilarious. Jedi Knight used to fall off his bed (when he first had a big boy bed) and the roll underneath it. One morning I went in his room to cover him up and was convinced he was kidnapped because he had rolled so far underneath and into the back corner. I looked three times and finally had to get a flashlight to see him.

i have been wondering about you! i am sorry we weren't here when you were at thanksgiving. i'm sure you were way busy anyways! that story is too funny. i remember waking up to my brother peeing in the corner of his room when i was younger. and it is still funny that eric is crazy in his sleep too. your nights are very exciting!

Too funny. He would be mortified to know that I'm sharing this, but once when I was in high school Grant wandered in to the bathroom totally asleep and did his business, only all over the floor instead of the toilet. He had absolutely no clue the next day. At least Ethan is still pretty young!

hilarious story! My sister is a sleepwalker and did some pretty crazy things but I think that bathroom story takes the cake.

I thought about blogging about Eric tearing my house apart while you guys were here. I didn't know about his craziness. At least Ethan was attempting to aim at a drain and not the carpet. That is hilarious.

I don't blame you for laughing about it even though he bonked his head! It's a cute story you'll laugh about for a long time. It's good to have you back!
