Jumping Back In!

So with the new year I am going to try really hard to keep up on my blog. Sadly I am already a little behind, but before it gets too overwhelming I better get started 1 post at a time. So be ready for lots of pictures and hopefully several posts over the next few days!

We started off the holiday season with the Christmas parade and brunch with Santa downtown. It was our first year to do this, but so much fun that I am sure it won't be our last. It has been an unusually cold winter here in Dallas so of course it was cold that day. But we braved the cold with our coats, hats, gloves and shoe warmers and with the exception of a little whining before the parade started, the kids were really good and had a great time. There were so many fun characters in the parade. Ethan loved Batman, Emily was so excited to see Hello Kitty and Emery had the biggest grin when he spotted Thomas the Tank Engine.

After the parade we went to have brunch with Santa at the restaurant in Eric's building. The food was great and Ethan and Emily were so excited to see Santa. Emery, on the other hand, was terrified. If we even got close to Santa he would scream. I was able to get some really cute pictures of Ethan and Emily with Santa, but had to settle for just some cute shots of Emery playing around.
Over all it was awesome and everyone had a great time! It was such a great way to kick off the holidays.
